The use of additional materials in the bags is to save weight and mainly to stiffen the bag so that it does not collapse. It is needed to reinforce the bag in the back area and is used as an inside pocket. The irregular grain of this leather as well as the possible abrasion of the colour are not a defect of the product, but a guarantee for the authenticity of the finely polished leather and the vegetable tanning. The traces of use that are also present on the brand-new bag, such as scratches, are part of the "look" and in no way represent a defect.

Leather is tanned animal skin. It is a natural product of unmistakable beauty with all its typical irregularities due to scars and pigment defects. Each piece has its own unmistakable identity.
It is typical for these leathers to show signs of use or patina after a short time. This is a desired effect, which is why we recommend not applying any care products at the beginning. The leathers are oiled and/or waxed and therefore have sufficient protection.
A line with the fingernail immediately causes a light line, which only disappears somewhat by polishing. Surfaces that are frequently touched and/or rubbed against clothing when worn become really polished. These signs of wear that develop over time are part of the normal appearance of open-pored leather and support the creation of an absolutely individual companion.
